The purpose of this group is to meet for "intellectual" discussions about a wide variety of subjects. This basically means the abstract analysis of the ideas in a subject. And the goal is to do it in a cooperative, courteous manner. The motive behind the group is to provide an opportunity to talk about ideas, so it's really not a place to relate personal stories or vent personal feelings. Our discussions are expected to be strongly based in reason & rationality. This means the kind of logical, r …

This meetup is intended to give Mensa members opportunities to share events that they enjoy, beyond the Omen Calender. The group is also open to prospective members, who are curious about just what we do and why. Some of the events are duplicates of Omen events. Sign up and you'll get timely reminders. If you are a member of a band, choral group, or you just love Science Pub and Nerd Night, share them with the group.

A meetup group for those who want to learn about the latest findings in neuroscience. We plan to use this group to explore the latest findings in neuroscience and consciousness studies. We want to keep things rational and scientifically-based, so we'll shy away from the New Agey stuff, while acknowledging that there are some pretty deep mysteries in this area, and parts that are necessarily subjective. The point of a meetup group is to actually meet people, so please dive in! We can all learn …

Julia’s Farmhouse was built in 1900, and is a comfy old place, and very relaxed. There is room for up to 15 members every time – many more would be a squeeze. If our Meetup gets larger, we’ll decide together what …
